Polyester Material 1

A polymer of polyhydric alcohol and a polybasic acid. A synthetic fiber derived from petroleum. Polyester resists abrasion, but is not resilient. It dyes well and is stain resistant. It is produced as a staple (cut) fiber and not as a monofilament. Polyester has a tendency to “fuzz” or “pill” when exposed to traffic and it is difficult to clean.
