Origin of Serapi Rugs

The Serapi rug originates from Heriz, a city in northwestern Iran which is very close to Tabriz (a city internationally known for rug-weaving excellence).

History of Serapi Rugs

Serapi rugs were given the “Serapi” trade name to define very good quality rugs woven in Heriz before 1900.

Characteristics of Serapi Rugs
